INGLÉS-LESSON 4-. SURREALISM

Hello everyone! How are you?

Here I send our 4th Lesson.
It is about surrealism.
STEP 1: Answer: 

A)What is surrealism?
B)What surrealist artists do you know?
C)Which one Is your favourite?

STEP 2- READ the article on surrealism.

STEP 3- Select a colour and underline the sentences which refer to past events that will no longer occur.

STEP 4- Identify all the verbs from the sentences you underlined and write them down.

STEP 5- Try to answer:
A) When did surrealism originate?
B) What does "DID" in the previous question mean?

C)Read this sentence taken from the article:
"The art movement, which blossomed in the 1920s with André Breton at the helm, rejected the society’s oppressive rationality".

Pay attention to the verbs->blossomed, rejected.

What do they have in common?
Are they in the past? Read the whole sentence

D) Read this Sentence:
"The horrors of the war made a deep impression on Breton and he wrote his first poems there. He also met two men who were to become his mentors ".

Pay attention to MADE,  WROTE and MET.
What happens?  Are they the same as BLOSSOMED AND REJECTED?. Why?

Do they refer to the past? Read the whole sentence.

What about "Were"? Is this an ordinary verb? 
 Can you Identify its meaning from the given context?
STEP 6- Think of a personal past event related to art.

Write a sentence to describe it. 

To do so, check the verbs from the article to guide you. If you do not find the verbs you want to use, there Is a document attached here that you can use to look up the most suitable one.
